The Aragon Government and Zaragoza Logistics Centre (ZLC) have launched a new scholarship programme under the umbrella of the Aragon Logistics Platforms brand via the group of public companies linked to this sector. The Boards of Directors of the companies Plaza, Platea, Plhus and Expo Zaragoza Empresarial, chaired this week by the Minister of Economy, Industry and Employment, Marta Gastón, approved the agreements creating a new line of support for logistics excellence in Aragon. These agreements will also include the participation of the Fraga Logistics Platform and will be used to channel public funds for the promotion and dissemination of high-level studies and experiences in logistics. The budget allocated to develop this initiative is €70,250 and will serve to promote the image of Aragon as a logistics brand and the excellence of its professionals, among other things. In this context, the effort will focus on the sponsorship of the Summer Academy in Logistics Supply Chain Management, where a large number of logistics managers from large international companies are expected to attend. The event will be held next year in Zaragoza and will bring together experts from the leading companies in the sector, who will present their experience with the innovations applied in the most prominent companies in this sector of world trade. Also, the programme managed by the companies in the Aragon Public Business Corporation linked to logistics includes 10 training grants in the ZLC. One of them to finance 50% of an Engineering Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG); 3 will go to other masters taught by the ZLC; and others will focus on the specific training of recent graduates and the professional development of employees.
